This Saturday come out and celebrate one of our favorite seasons with activities for the kiddos, vendor demos across Market and a Food Demo featuring Chef Brian Gebhard! And of course, grab your own PEPPERS for sautéing, grilling, stewing or roasting. Roasting peppers is one of those kitchen skills that seems daunting until you've done it a couple of times - it takes hardly any practice before it becomes second nature. Jarred or frozen peppers are perfectly fine (and will definitely be your friend in a winter pinch) but nothing matches freshly roasted sweet peppers in a bright salad or smoky & spicy roasted Hatch chiles in a batch of guacamole or roasted Poblanos in homemade chili -- mmm, mmm, good!

This Saturday be sure to layer-up and we don't mean those rain jackets and boots that were necessary attire last weekend! The forecast - though we don't want to jinx it - is looking like the most idyllic of Fall mornings -- cool and crisp with the warmth of full sunshine above! Every August we join markets across the country in celebrating everything that makes farmers markets important. This year it's EXTRA special because for the first time ever, the World Farmers Markets Coalition (WFMC) is joining the National Farmers Market Coalition's annual celebration making this the first ever INTERNATIONAL Farmers Market Week! #FarmersMarketWeek2022 provides an extra opportunity to acknowledge the many farmers and farmers markets in our region which is why Cobblestone is SO fortunate to support 40+ producers selling a wide variety of products to feed your families year-round! AND Say hello our new friend Steven Lambeth, founder of Family & Future Chocolate AND creator of delicious vegan, organic (sweetened with maple and/or coconut sugars, never with cane sugar) chocolate popsicles, cold brew popsicles, stone ground nut butters, chocolate bars, and fudge. These treats will easily become a weekly staple in your Market basket - don't forget your coolers too...it is August after all!
