SNAP / FMNP
If you have SNAP/EBT, Senior FMNP vouchers or WIC FMNP card, come to the Information Booth to learn how to use those at the market AND to receive your extra market tokens! Spanish translation is available at the Information Booth. The market tokens are valid throughout the entire market season at our weekly Saturday Market (8:30am-12pm). Since 2012, Cobblestone has accepted Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) for Women, Infants and Children at the Market. When Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) funds became available in Forsyth County in 2021, Cobblestone began accepting those too.

How to use snap/ebt
Come to the Information Booth! The Information Booth is at the market entrance on S. Marshall Street. At the Information Booth, you will swipe your SNAP/EBT card to purchase $1.00 market tokens to spend at the Cobblestone Farmers Market. If you choose to use $10.00 or more from your SNAP/EBT card, you will be given an additional $10.00 match in market tokens to spend at the market. These additional funds are offered through our Food Access Program once per market day.
Decide how much you want to spend at the market.
Come to the Information Booth as you enter the market space.
Tell the person working at the Information Booth how much you want to spend. They will swipe your card to deduct that amount and give you $1 wooden market tokens in exchange to spend at the market. They will also match what you spend (up to $10 per market) in EXTRA market tokens!
Use tokens at any stand that sells SNAP/EBT eligible products. NOTE: No change can be given.
Cobblestone Farmers Market tokens can only be spent at our market.

What can I buy using SNAP/EBT at Cobblestone?
- Breads and other baked goods
- Fruits and vegetables
- Meats, chicken and eggs
- Edible plants and seeds
- Cheese, jams and pickles
- Bottled drinks such as juice or kombucha
- All edible items at the market EXCEPT for alcoholic beverages.
* Tokens cannot be used to purchase soap, flowers or ornamental plants.
How to use WIC FMNP & Senior FMNP
WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) funding is available each summer through the Health Department and Social Services. This funding is specifically for fresh fruits and vegetables grown by North Carolina farmers.
As of summer 2023, North Carolina’s WIC FMNP transitioned to e-WIC and NC Farmers markets are navigating the potholes of the new system. Visit the Information Booth to learn how to use e-WIC with participating farmers and to receive the extra market match tokens which can be used with our vendors. These additional funds match WIC FMNP and Senior FMNP vouchers dollar-for-dollar and are offered through our Food Access Program.
As of summer 2023, Senior FMNP is still using paper vouchers at the market. How to use them:
Visit the Information Booth (with your vouchers) to learn how to use the vouchers with participating farmers and to receive the extra market tokens which can be used with additional vendors. As long as the vouchers have not yet been used and are not expired, you will receive EXTRA market tokens totaling the same amount as your vouchers - a 1:1 match that doubles your money!
Use vouchers AND tokens with participating farmers. Tokens can be used for anything edible at the market, except for alcoholic beverages.
You can even save your tokens and spend them later in the season!
What can I buy using WIC FMNP Card & SFMNP Vouchers at Cobblestone?
Make sure to use WIC FMNP card and Senior FMNP vouchers during the valid time period. We are unable to accept or double coupons that have expired.

SNAP/EBT Bonus Bucks are valid throughout the entire market season and FMNP Bonus Bucks have an expiration date (please check carefully when you should use these by so they do not expire before using).
NOTE: Donations to our Food Access Program are accepted year-round. The match funding is thanks to individual donations and small grants.
