A little heat and a ridiculous amount of the tastiest, freshest produce options at market means a lot of things...including that it is officially PICNIC and TACO TIME! Nothing could be easier than mixing up ground meat or shrooms, fresh raw or slawed veggies, MATERS and ohhh, any excuse to use the season's sweet onions plus some ferments or fruit for a TACO extravaganza.
SALADS are the summer picnic go to and with mounds of cukes, new potatoes, cabbage, carrots, broccoli and kales, lettuces, micros - mixing it up, slicing it up, searing it up (oh yes - seared carrots or broccoli are the BOMB with a little lemon garlic yogurt sauce). Plus, leftovers for that office or camp lunch continue the goodness!

REUSE, COMPOST/BIODEGRADE are two easy tools to activate. At Cobblestone, we are steadily replacing non recyclable/non reusable materials (AKA Landfill items) with certified compostable, or where necessary, recyclable materials such as cups, bottles, clamshells and much more.
Help us minimize waste by looking out for green buckets and signs around market for places to deposit your compost and be sure to read the landfill instructions on the Old Salem trash receptacles and the blue recycling receptacles. If you have any questions, be sure to stop by the information booth. Bring on your compost, friends!
