Choose Nutritious & Local

Farmers markets play an important role in providing Americans with access to nutritious LOCAL foods and the Cobblestone Farmers Market is thankful and adamant about providing the FRESHEST food to folks using government food support.

Unfortunately, one of the defining quirks of the American food system is that it’s often cheaper to buy fruits and vegetables grown thousands of miles away at an outpost of a multinational corporation (aka, your local grocery store) than it is to purchase them directly from the farmer up the road.

Through the Cobblestone Farmers Market Food Access Program, we are able to offer match dollars for folks using WIC FMNP or SNAP/EBT at Wednesday or Saturday Market, increasing folks' purchasing power and choice - providing greater incentive to choose LOCAL.

We are thankful for our local vendors who provide a second mid week grocery option for our regular customers and for reaching NEW customers!
